Wylde Flowers

Wylde Flowers follows Tara as she moves to her grandmother's farm in the small town of Fairhaven to take care of her while she's ill. Lo and behold, Tara learns that there’s something magical about the island and that she may have powers within herself she never knew existed.

This game is an absolute delight! It has a unique style and flair that can only come from a game made with love. The characters feel unique, and Tara herself is a likeable protagonist. Wylde Flowers is definitely a recommended game on my list because of its charm.

The gameplay is simple, yet entertaining. Like other farm sims, there's plenty to do and lots of villagers to befriend. The big hook is the magic you can utilize in the game. It makes the otherwise simple gameplay richer and more complex as you search for ingredients and weave your magic to progress through the story and make your farm thrive. Charm townsfolk or increase your harvest, what you do with magic is up to you!

This is by far a masterclass in how to incorporate diversity in your game. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and cultures, yet they meld together beautifully and create a diverse and interesting cast of characters. The people in town talk about the goings on in Fairhaven and comment on the story events, making them feel like they are connected to the narrative.

Absolutely, I do. There is plenty of fun to be had playing this game, and unraveling the story can be just as rewarding as sitting back and enjoying the gameplay. If you're looking for a unique spin on the genre of farming sims, this one should pique your interest.
